Choose the folder you want to save to, or type the file path directly into the list. Specify one path per line. See Creating file paths. You can choose to Automatically open file or you can choose to Create email with file as attachment after saving.
From the Save list, choose Records being browsed, Current record, or Blank record. If you select Blank record, the Appearance list is enabled. The Appearance list allows you to specify formatting options for fields: as formatted in FileMaker, with boxes, with underlines, or with placeholder text. For each of the options in the document tab, you can enter text directly, or click Specify to enter a field name or values from a calculation. If print and edit privileges are allowed, you can specify if copying and screen reading software are permitted.

Finally, at the risk of stating the obvious… this technique can just as easily appene applied to a combination of native FileMaker generated outputs and existing stored PDFs. A custom order which you create by dragging field names. For Target Fields, drag fields to align with fields or data in Source Fields, to indicate where source data will be imported or updated. To align a field, move the pointer over the icon next to a target field name in the list. When the pointer changes to a double arrow , drag the field to a new location. Please be aware that it may be necessary to drag your Target Fields multiple times to properly align them with the correct Source Fields. This can be a timely process when working with a large number of fields. To preview the data that you are importing, click the arrows below the fields lists.
